The London Freemasons’ Charity will this year be supporting the Royal British Legion by offering matched funding for the cumulative donations from Lodges and Chapters; Shotokan Karate Lodge 9752 has made a £100 donation to this worthy cause.
The Royal British Legion exists to ensure that no member of the Armed Forces community faces hardship alone. But the need for their services is escalating at an alarming pace and as living costs rise, statutory services shrink, and complex conditions like dementia and mental ill-health increase, thousands more veterans and their families are turning to the RBL, often in moments of urgent and overwhelming crisis.
The Royal British Legion believes that no one who has served to protect our freedom should face hardship or disadvantage because of their service. We are honoured to provide support in whatever way it is needed when it is most needed.
Freemasonry and the Royal British Legion share a deep alignment in purpose and values. Both are built on a commitment to service, remembrance, and care for those who have sacrificed for others. There is strong support for RBL from across the Masonic community.
